About me
As an artist and designer, I have been creating and collecting for many years. My home is in Santa Fe, New Mexico, referred to as "The City Different" and one of the most beautiful, sunny & creative places in the Southwest. I personally make and design all of my one-of-a-kind jewelry and sculptural pieces. Having worked as Lead Designer for Peyote Bird Designs in New Mexico for over 10 years, I am very familiar with many construction techniques & a variety of styles & periods. I love color and exploring nature in my designs, combining mixed media & collected objects, and I am influenced by ethnic, ancient and iconographic symbols of beauty and uniqueness. Most of my creations are a mix of old & new - antique & vintage beads, cabochons, gemstone beads (usually vintage), sterling silver, copper & gold-fill. My favorite creations take the form of collages & reflect my quirky perception of daily views. I am also focused on bead weaving as an art form, self-expression, and developing many techniques used in the making of beaded sculptures.
